2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 – A Completely New Interior And Exterior
We have been waiting ever since 2015 for Jaguar to release a car that would directly compete with the Mercedes-AMG C63 and with the BMW M4. And it seems that the time has come with the launch of the 2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8.
The 2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is the second limited-edition from the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division, next to the F-Type Project 7 from 2014.
However, there are a lot of differences and one of the most important ones is that the 2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is a lot more powerful. And considering that Jaguar is also promising “supercar performance and dynamics in a four-door sedan,” the debut at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed in June was a success.
Let’s check out what 2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 has to offer.
Make sure to discover all the car rumors in 2019.
2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Release Date
After the debut in late June, the 2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is going to be produced and the sales will start in 2018. However, only 300 units will be produced.
2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Price
At this point, the price is still a mystery. However, considering the Project 7 and everything that was improved in the 2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8, we believe that the starting price will be around $100,000.
2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Redesign and Changes
Just like the Project 7 was then compared to the F-Type, the 2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is a beefed-up version of the Jaguar XE.
One of the things that you can expect to have on the 2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is a lot of custom features as well as many carbon-fiber components.
On the front, the bumper has been redesigned and is all-carbon. Below, there is a bare carbon splitter that you can manually adjust in 2 different positions when you want to go for a track day.
The main grille includes a unique mesh as well as the Jaguar logo placed on a red background. The headlamps were also repositioned.
The same aggressive style can be found also on the rear of the 2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8. With a redesigned bumper with extra vents, the 2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is simply amazing.
Even though you can choose 8 different body colors, you can have more choices with the SVO Premium Palette.

2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Specs
Under the hood, there is no much of a surprise. The 2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 uses the 5.0-liter V-8 engine which is capable of producing 592 of horsepower. This is the same engine (even though it was improved for the Project 8) that Jaguar uses on other models that include the XF, the XJ, the F-Type, and the Range Rover Sport.
In terms of transmission, you can expect to get the 8-speed ZF automatic transmission as well as the all-wheel-drive system.
2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Interior
Just like the exterior, the interior of the 2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is also unique. Even though you can notice some features of the XE that are included, the truth is that it also brings a lot of new elements.
You’ll get Alcantara and carbon-fiber trim on the door panes, dashboard, and steering wheel as well as a new two-seat configuration. Even though the two-seat won’t be available in the United States (only the 4-seat), the front performance seats are heavily contoured for extra support and use magnesium frames.
One of the best things about the 2018 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is the fact that almost all the technologies available will be included as standard.
