2017 GMC Sierra 1500 Redesign and Changes


The 2017 GMC Sierra features a new front grille in chrome with some ultra bright aluminum rims. You can also see the chrome edgings and the new fog lamps. All this in conjunction with the side running boards and the bed liner in the rear make the perfect result for the new Sierra that looks more amazing than ever. To complement this changes, the colors that you can choose are simply great and you’ll have some big doubts when choosing the one you like most. The colors include Sonoma Red Metallic, Fire Red, Bronze Alloy Metallic, Summit White, Onyx Black, and Iridium Metallic.

But this section wouldn’t be complete if we missed talking about the three body styles that are offered. You’ll get to choose between the Crew cab, the Regular cab, and the Extended cab. Each cab will have their own configurations in terms of trims and bed lengths.

In what concerns with the trims that the 2017 GMC Sierra provides, there are 4: Base, SLE, SLT, and Denali. Just as a note, the base and the SLE trims are accessible in all cab configurations. The SLT only has the Double and the Crew can, and the Denali only has the Crew cab.

There are different engines depending on the trim that you choose. If you go for the standard models like the Base and the SLE, you’ll get a 4.6-liter V6 engine which is able to produce 285 of horsepower and 305-pound-feet of torque. In this case, the 2017 GMC Sierra comes with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The second option in terms of the engine that you have is only provided for the SLT and Denali trims. However, they are optional for the two base models as well. In this case, you can count with a 5.3-liter V8 engine with the ability to produce 355 of horsepower. If you decide to go for one of this trims, you’ll have the chance to choose the transmission as well. You may opt for the 6-speed or for the 8-speed automatic transmission.

The third and last engine is a 6.2-liter V8 engine with the ability to produce 420 of horsepower and 460 of pound-feet of torque.

2017 GMC Sierra Interior


With the release of the new 2017 GMC Sierra, GMC decided to give this truck a premium look and feel. And the interior is the proof. The 2017 GMC Sierra features leather upholstery. The front seats are actually punctured leather, aired, and heated. You’ll also see a new scheme of a dashboard, door sills, console, and floor mats with the name of the configuration. The steering wheel is heated, you’ll have automatic climate control, distant engine start, an 8-inch screen and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a multimedia system, a Wi-Fi access point with 4G support, and the GMC IntelliLink with navigation.
